We're Headed for Nationals!

ZE is on a competitive cheerleading squad that practices 3 times a week for 3 hours at a time and trains all year round. Even though she is only 10 she loves all of it...the gruling practices, competitions, bruises, bus trips, and fundraising. Her team is called "Rebels Xtreme Strike Force" and they won 2nd place in a competition in Minnetonka, MN. Along with winning a sweet trophy her team was given a bid to the UCA Championships in Orlando this March. ZE is thrilled and is exctied mostly because they will be on ESPN if they place high enough! ZE definatly had the biggest cheering section in Minnetonka with 2 cousins, 2 Aunts, 1 Uncle, 1 Grandma, Mom, Dad and Brother! We were so proud!!!

I've Been A Little Busy...

My mom has to ask me at least once a week if I have read my sisters blog. I look at her as if not to burn lasers through her forhead because I usually have to remind myself to eat lunch daily if I can squeeze it in. Sorry, SS's blog is on the back burner - not to mention mine. So, I haven't posted since this summer, but I am honestly going to give it a better effort to at least get one post done a week.

The kids are busy at school and with activities. HE is playing football, loving Webkins and mastering Lego Star Wars on Play Station. ZE is a cheerleading machine. She has dropped all of her other activities to focus on Rebels Extreme Cheerleading. She trains 3 nights a week and travels all over for competitions. She will even be traveling to Florida in March for the UCA Nationals.

I have been as busy as ever at work selling and listing. I made the top 15 for sales for the last 2 months and was named the top lister for August in our office. We recentley went on a boat cruise at Treasure Island Casino with my office (as shown in picture) and then went on the same cruise the very next night with BP's office. What luck?!? We are just boat people I guess?

Let's Go Hawkeyes!

On our way back from Iowa HP spotted this Hawkeye van! He was so excited to see a vehicle all deck out in Hawkeye glory. It also had an anti-Nebraska sign on the back. He even thought about changing one of his life goals after seeing this baby...when he gets his first car should it go with a Hawkeye paint job or should he stick with the General Lee? Good thing he has 9 years to mull that one over.

Warning: Pop in a Purse = BAD IDEA!

On Sunday I enlisted the help of BD and the kids to help me move into my office. I gave ZE my purse to carry in while BD and I carried a sofa up to my 2nd floor office (mistake #1). I had put in my purse a refreshing Coke to have after muscling the couch around the office (mistake #2). Also in my purse were all the essential items any Realtor would have: cell phone, digital camera, and e-key (mistake #3). When the couch was finally in place and I reached for my ice cold Coke I was shocked to feel a puddle...yes puddle. Somehow the can had been punctured in my purse and leaked. My Coach bag (mistake #4) collected the liquid and did not drain because of the leather - wonderful! In the end it became the most expensive can of pop ever. My cell phone is ruined and all of the contacts that I had stored in it are GONE! My digital camera just displays a black screen with a few jumpy white lines. The photo disc is still good which is a small blessing because I haven't downloaded photos in a while. My e-key drained out and still works but now the keys stick. In the end I only have myself to blame for this latest dilema but a good lesson was learned: leather and liquid are never a good combination!
